In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Origins, you control a team of Pokémon, and explore Guildmaster Island. Your goal is to reach the fabled summit, and earning the right to lead a guild yourself. Remeniscient of Sky Peak arc in Explorers of Sky, you will find many other teams with similar goals and stories. Befriend wild Pokémon with apricorns to add them to your team, and build an assembly of Pokémon worthy of reaching the top!
The main story is currently a demo, but the half-completed main story can be accessed following these steps. The game is open source (MIT license), and it can be downloaded from github for Windows, Mac, and Linux. For instructions, see here.
PMDO is programmed in C#, and comes with full mod support integrated into it. Modders can use dev mode and lua scripting to make changes to the game. PMDO can also be used as the base to create PMDO fangames using its engine!
