Ice Face is an ability in PMDO.
Effects
Eiscue begins every floor in Ice Face Form. While in Ice Face Form, the first physical attack to hit Eiscue will be automatically avoided, breaking their ice head and changing Eiscue to Noice Face Form. The ice head will remain broken until Eiscue moves to a new floor or uses a Reviver Seed. However, if it is hailing or snowing, Ice Face Form will be restored at the end of every one of Eiscue's turns.
Ice Face can only be used by Eiscue; if the ability is moved to another Pokémon using a move such as Skill Swap, that Pokémon will gain none of the ability's effects. If Eiscue's ability is removed while it is still in Ice Face Form, it will remain in that form, but will take damage from physical attacks as normal, with its ice head remaining intact.
Strategy
Using Ice Face
- When paired with an ally that has Snow Warning, Ice Face makes Eiscue almost completely immune to physical attacks, being able to take one for free every single turn.
Fighting Ice Face
- If possible, using special attacks against Eiscue is the most consistent way to defeat it without wasting turns.
- If it is hailing, and your team only has physical attackers, multiple Pokémon must attack Eiscue at once in the same turn to deal any damage.
