The mysterious passage is a special dungeon floor that is encountered after mysteriosity has activated. It is entered from reaching a distortion tile in time when it is spawned.

The levels of all Pokémon encountered depend on the dungeon the passage was entered from, typically around the same levels of the dungeon.
Unown will always spawn with a random letter selected.
Two fossil Pokémon are selected from the spawn pool below to appear in each passage. The evolved versions are used if the dungeon is of advanced difficulty.
Audino can appear in the passage if the dungeon grants EXP.
If the dungeon allows recruitment, the following Pokémon can appear dependent on the difficulty of the dungeon:
