A ground map is a free-movement area in PMDO, which are found either outside of dungeons, within dungeon checkpoints, or in cutscenes between dungeons. Their directory is located in Data/Ground.

Ground maps can be directly edited in Dev Mode through the ground map editor. They cannot be randomly generated and are instead defined from tiles, the size of which may be controlled in the editor.
Unlike some other data, ground maps are non-indexed and aren't represented by IDs.
