The default is a type of room. It is a room composed of a single tile.
Usage
The default room is typically used in technical internal processes of PMDO, such as during the Set Grid Defaults Step. It is used in contexts where a room shouldn't be generated, but a cell that still causes hallways to join to it should be generated instead, as opposed to the density of rooms.
