Aftermath is an ability in PMDO.
Effects
Aftermath makes the user explode upon fainting, causing all Pokémon in a 1-tile area to take damage equal to 25% of their max HP. Any walls, traps, or items in the area will also be destroyed.
Strategy
As Aftermath requires the user to faint, it offers little to no useful applications for the player's Pokémon.
When facing an enemy with Aftermath, the player should keep their distance if possible, and use a ranged attack or thrown item to finish them off. If enemies are grouped together, targeting the Aftermath user first may allow you to deal explosion damage to their surrounding allies upon defeating them.
Avoid defeating Pokémon who have Aftermath near useful items you have not yet picked up.
