Clear Body prevents the user's stats from being lowered by other Pokémon, traps, or items.

If a move is used that only lowers stats, such as [[Superpower]], no stat changes will be applied. However, if a move is used that both raises and lowers stats at the same time, such as [[Shell Smash]], all stat changes will still be applied.
If the user decreases their own stats, such as dropping Attack and Defense with a move like [[Superpower]], Clear Body will not activate.

Clear Body will block items that decrease stats, like [[Vile Seed]]s, if they are thrown by another Pokémon, but will not protect against those same items if the user eats it themself.
