Abilities in PMDO are passive effects each Pokémon have that modify standard interactions in some way while in a dungeon. Abilities can adjust a wide variety of different aspects of a Pokémon; such as their stats, how and if certain types of moves affect them and how they interact with their environment. Each Pokémon may only have one ability at a time, but many Pokémon species have more than one ability potentially available to them.
A Pokémon's ability may be changed by using an Ability Capsule, a rare item that can sometimes be found in dungeons.
