Mysteriosity is a phenomena in PMDO that begins to occur after the player has obtained one of the key item cards. It impacts most dungeons in the game.
Obtaining Cards
The cards are obtained as rewards for completing the Family Questline.
Distortion
On a floor, a distortion has the chance to spawn. The chance increases depending on how many cards the player has obtained. The distortion must be reached in a set number of turns, or else it will disappear.
One the distortion tile is reached, a set of stairs will spawn that lead to a Mysterious Passage. Certain Pokémon are exclusive to these passages.
Mysterious Passage
Mysterious passages are subsections of dungeons. Different variants of dungeon generation are specified that are rolled for upon entering a passage. They contain unique Pokémon, including all forms of Unown, fossil Pokémon, and Audino.
