Description	Avoids the strongest super-effective move that the opposing Pokémon has.

Anticipation is an ability in PMDO.

Effects

When attacked with a super-effective move, the Anticipation user will automatically avoid it if it is the strongest super-effective move that enemy has. This is determined by which super-effective move has the highest base power; whether or not it is 2x or 4x effective makes no difference.

In the case of a tie, the move that appears earlier in that Pokémon's movelist will be considered the stronger attack.

If the attacker only has one super-effective move, that move will always be avoided.

Outside multipliers such as same-type attack bonus, abilities that increase a move's power, or attacks that differ in power based off of certain conditions, such as distance, are not considered.

If a move's type is changed due to the effect of an ability, such as Pixilate, or a move's type varies, such as Hidden Power, it will always be treated as its original type, as listed in the move menu.

Strategy

Using Anticipation

• Anticipation can greatly increase the survivability of Pokémon with 4x weaknesses.
• Many enemies only have one move of each type, leading to their only super-effective move being blocked.
• Moves that can't miss, such as Aerial Ace, ignore Anticipation; don't get lax around Pokémon that know them.

Fighting Anticipation

• Moves that can't miss ignore Anticipation.
• In the case of a tie between two super-effective moves, you can control which one Anticipation blocks by switching the order of the attacks in your move menu with the "Shift Up" and "Shift Down" commands. This does not use up your turn, and can therefore be done freely to always have the move you want available.
