Family Questline

The Family Questline is a series of missions in PMDO that involves rescuing several lost Pokémon. It is implied through in-game text that all of them are transformed humans that are part of the same family, and are named as such.

Each family member is found in their respective dungeon and floor wandering around. Unlike rescue missions, these Pokémon must be escorted through the entire dungeon to rescue them. The player can begin rescuing them by talking to them and choosing to take them along. They are not controllable by the player and must be protected from fainting to succeed the escort. They can only use the regular attack.

If the escort failed, either from leaving the dungeon early (such as a loss, using an Escape Orb, or the fainting of the escort), their spawn location changes to the last floor they were escorted to.

When rescued, all members of the lost family will congregate in Base Town. The player obtains an entercard when rescuing a family member. Where the first family member is rescued, mysteriosity has a chance to occur, increasing as more cards are gathered.

Chikorita is found initially on Faultline Ridge 6F. She can be rescued once Noctowl and Luxio change their positions to be seen talking, a day after the dungeon is unlocked. She drops the Sun Card as a reward, which is stashed as a key item.

Wooper can be found initially on Glacial Path 2F, a temporary location until his intended dungeon releases. He can be rescued after Swinub appears in Blizzard Camp and reports that they couldn't rescue a Pokémon from the dungeon. He drops the Mist Card as a reward.

Swellow can be found initially on Castaway Cave B8F. She becomes available to rescue a day after Castaway Cave is unlocked, when Wingull changes their position to look out to the sea. She drops the Water Card as a reward.
